  • 68% think that maybe diabetes won’t cause heart disease if a patient takes diabetes medication, 24% think that diabetes won’t cause heart disease if a patient takes diabetes medication and only 8% think that it’s not that diabetes won’t cause heart disease if a patient takes diabetes medication.
  • 70% think that maybe one can lower the risk of heart disease with vitamins and supplements, 17% think that one can lower the risk of heart disease with vitamins and supplements and 13% think that one cannot lower the risk of heart disease with vitamins and supplements.
  • 63% of the respondents think that maybe if a person had smoked for years then they can’t reduce the risk of heart disease by quitting, 25% think if a person had smoked for years then they can’t reduce the risk of heart disease by quitting and 12% think that if a person had smoked for years then it’s not that they can’t reduce the risk of heart disease by quitting.

Outcome of the research

It was observed that, many of the respondents think that maybe if a heart patient takes a cholesterol lowering drug then they can eat anything. More than half of the target sample thinks that maybe it’s okay to have higher blood pressure when you are older. Most of the respondents think that maybe diabetes won’t cause heart disease if a patient takes diabetes medication. One can lower the risk of such type of disease with vitamins and supplements. It was also found that still some respondents think that maybe if a person had smoked for years then they can’t reduce the risk of heart disease by quitting.

Conclusion

Heart diseases are basically caused due to the unhealthy routine and diet that people take these days. It can also be a result of lack of exercise. The problems may also arise due to unhealthy habits like smoking. Thus, one must understand the important of oneself and not get into unnecessary myths. Rather one must try spending time in positive development of their health and others.
